When I saw Avonné’s work I already knew she was an amazing photographer. It was after our initial call that I knew that I wanted her to photograph my wedding. It was such an easy call. She understood all my design elements that were important to me. My style is modern and minimalistic and for some reason, I worried that I didn’t see a lot of that style from people that look like me. What if someone didn’t understand what I was going for? Those worries were quickly erased after speaking to her. I was obsessed with my simple wedding dress that had an elaborate bow detail in the back. She saw the beauty in my style and knew how to amplify it. She aced the assignment.

Anyone with eyes can see that her photography is gorgeous. The creative decision she makes in angle, lighting, composition. It’s a masterful skill that I love. It’s true art.

But what truly blew me out of the water was working with Avonné herself. She is kind, collaborative, creative. She is what you need on your wedding day. The person behind the camera on such an important day is so important.

During my wedding she was director, stylist, hype woman! My husband and I looked happy, in love and carefree, because she creates that environment. I was not worried for one second that anything would go wrong, or if it did, you wouldn’t know it!

Before my wedding, I called Avonné to discuss something related to the wedding that I was worried about. I mentioned it offhanded as it did not relate to the photography. I ended the call in tears because she went so far above and beyond to make sure, I did not worry about that element of the wedding. I was blown away by her grace. She is a woman of faith and I am thankful that we worked together. I continue to support her and look at all her beautiful weddings. She simply is amazing and I cannot recommend her enough to be your wedding photographer if you are so lucky.
