Bride Groom Session | Kyle + Asha

This beautiful couple just warmed my heart. Asha inquired about my price in the fall of 2015 and I was stoked for her wedding. We made plans for her bridal session in March 2016 as her wedding was swiftly approaching in June.  Everything was great and set-in-stone. Then, the unexpected happened. I received an email back in February from Asha  that she had to cancel her wedding that was going to take place in May.  My heart dropped as that is not something anyone wants to hear. I kept reading and my eyes begin to water. She tells me that her dear father passed away not long before she sent me the email. I was devastated for her. I could't imagine nor could I fathom how hard this must be for her to write this letter to me. In all honesty, I didn't know what to say. Nothing I could say to possibly give her any comfort. So I waited a minute and prayed for her.  She asked if  i would let her do a Bride and Groom session in place of her bridals at the wedding venue and if I could still shoot her ceremony in May that she was significantly downsizing. When I replied, I gave her my deepest condolences and offered to do this session and her ceremony at no charge. I couldn't bear to ask for anything as my heart just broke for her. Needless to say, we had her Bride and Groom session at the Loray Mill Wedding Venue in Gastonia, NC. She brought such  a positivity and strength about her to the session that it literally brought me to tears. I was BEYOND honored to do this for her and could never regret doing this for something dealing with something like this. She was comforted throughout the session by her kind, and gentle fianceé Kyle.

Cherish the moments you have with family and friends. Rejoice in the time  you have them on Earth. You never know when life may take its turn for the worst. I could tell was a rejuvenating session for  Asha. And I could be more honored that I am playing a small role in her healing process.
