Katy + Phillip's wedding was every photographers dream. It was so wonderful to be a part of a wedding that was embodied so much charm in the simplest of forms.
As long as I have known Katy, which have been a good 7 years or so, she has always been a very artistic soul. Not the tattoos everywhere, pink hair, and millions of piercings kind of artistic, but more of the white canvas with minimal brush strokes that make a statement kind of artistic. Everything she has ever done has always been tastefully simple, yet bold all at the same time. Her wedding was just that. It was full of details cohesively put together to create a very elegantly vintage wedding. There was no bridal party on either side, no makeup artist, no hairstylist, no DJ, no wedding cake, no bouquet toss, garter toss, or anything traditional other than the first dance. Yet, it was one of the most fun weddings I've attended all year.
I adore when love is told though things that matter most to the couple. Katy and Phil wanted a wedding that complimented their personalities and was actually about them. They both are such elegant and beautiful people and I was so happy to be just a fraction of their big day.
Best of wishes to the Scotts and their new life together!
