Sam and Amanda are a match that you will get every once in a blue moon. Full of originality and always breaking new ground. Their union was a White water center and Kimpton Tryon park wedding but not like anything you’d ever seen! Firstly Amanda’s dress was RED, yes red! Their wedding consisted of 9 people who were just immediate family who flew down from Wisconsin to watch these two become one. It was Halloween, so they knew they wanted something original and true to them without it being the typical spooky themed wedding. Since the guest count was so small they were able to implement all the things that were special to them and it just made this day so unique and wonderful.

We started the day at the Kimpton Tryon Park hotel where we spent the morning getting ready and eventually ended there on the rooftop for the first look. We then got into a small bus and shuttled over to the U.S National Whitewater Center to have their ceremony. It was quite early in the morning so Amanda, being as thoughtful as she was, had coffee, tea and cinnamon buns there to snack on. I was swooning over the crisp air and morning breeze as we were preparing to begin the quaint ceremony. Her flowers, the picnic style seating and the coziness was unmatched and just so amazing to be a part of. If you notice, there was a small table set adjacent to the altar that had planted monstera plants in them. As a sign of unity and new beginnings, Sam and Amanda potted these plants and gifted them to their parents. So so sweet!
After, Amanda wanted to incorporate her love for birds and wildlife. She volunteers at a Raptor center and wanted to do a raptor release. She nailed it! We then left to head back to the hotel but we made a pit stop first. We had to stop and get Ice cream DUH! We stopped off at Jeni’s Ice-cream to indulge in some creamy goodness before popping in a few more portraits around the South end area! We headed back to the Kimpton in their presidential suite for their quaint reception filled with all the spooky decor and super cute candy setup. Like I don’t think I have ever been to a wedding so original and unique it was the most awesome experience!
